Good with seafood. Good body, some acid. A full wine. Really enjoyed it but somehow the bottle warmed up very quickly. Would buy/drink again but need to make sure the bottle is sufficiently cooled prior to opening.
Beautiful pale honey color with peach tones, this wine exhibits pretty stonefruit characteristics on the nose. A surprisingly viscous and slightly oily mouthfeel leads to pear, peach, and a tropical note on the palate, with some vanilla/marshmallow coming later and solid acidity to finish. This is a great food wine and paired well with pan-roasted pork loin chops. Still a lot of life left in this wine; Rod Berglund knows plenty about making age-worthy wines. PS, (as with many good whites) be sure and let this wine warm up a tad; it doesn't show its best too cold.
