It smells like eternal toasted walnuts steeped in brown sugar. Absolutely no discernible alcohol. Texture is that of semi diluted honey with a caressing richness without being heavy. A sublime little wine. Can this thing age? Hell I don’t know. Tastes pretty close immaculate to me. The only thing it’s missing is a bit of acid, but given it’s pushing 80 years I’d hope I’d be lacking some acid too.

This is special. Just a shade below the 1961 Krohn...but amazing juice. Penetrating rancio nose. So fresh...such a lingering palate presence. Nutty. And toffee. Citrus acidity. Super long finish that keeps pumping flavour.

For The Love Of Port 14th Anniversary Tasting; 7/26/2019-7/27/2019 (Sammamish, Washington): Bottled in 2017. Clear, brown color with orange on the edges. Great woody notes on the nose. Rich, fantastic mouthfeel with brown sugar, candied orange peel, and some saline.
