An elegant and refined wine, so easy to drink, why we love cru Beaujolais, amazing QPR at $17. Nose has cherry, earth, sandalwood, and other savory nuances. The wine opens with beautifully layered expressions of cherry--black cherry, red cherry, and then sour cherry. Bits of cranberry mix in mid-palette when typical earth and savory notes fold into the finish that is silky smooth with more cherry. Fully mature, delicious, far from over the hill, but I'd drink sooner than later as the fruit is ever so fading.

We've finally waited long enough to go past the peak. But this has been a steady performer.

Has got some marvelous dusty oak to balance out the sour-leaning red fruit. Tremendously food-versatile. Drink by... 2020?
