Inky dark purple, blue fruit nose. Dry, medium fruit with some bitter on the PnP, 88 pts. Blackberry, leather with dry tannins on the finish. With a couple hours open, it's starting to become balanced with the acid, fruit and tannins, smooth mouthfeel. Tart blackberries, loganberries with a slightly bitter tannin finish. Better with food. Moving toward the bright fruit stage with some tart chewy tannins, dramatic improvement overnight.

Clearing rim, and lighter in color than the younger malbecs on the table. Huckleberry and raspberry fruit w/dried fig, spice and mocha with some soft leathery tones. Reaching peak.

Dark red, red berry nose. Dry, medium bold fruit and body, blackberries, good said to keepo the fruit lively, very good balance with the light tannins on the finish. A very enjoyable paring with grilled steak and veggies. Time has remedied the youth and bold fruit of previous bottles. Good with an hour open time.

inky opaque purple/red, ripe Bing cherries on the nose. Dry tart fruit, noticeable alcohol, bold fruit and body. Needs a little further cellar time to settle down, not harsh, just lacking in balance and smoothness, tannins need to mellow a bit. It should come good with more time, I will give my other bottles a couple more years. I just wanted to try this one with a thick steak, 87 on the PnP. Very nice the next night, well balanced with some initial tart fruit and mellow tannins. Medium body, tart cherries, stone fruits and chewy tannins on the finish.
