  • At peak and delicious !! I agree with my tasting note of almost one and a half years ago !!
Perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. Dark ruby colored with little to no oxidation and medium clarity. Consumed over two days. No detectable deterioration during the two days. This was the last bottle of the vintage in my cellar. Still hanging in there, at peak.

  • Tasting pretty good right now !! The cork was perfect after a decade in the bottle. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over two days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a hint of forest floorl and a medium finish. Popped and poured, but this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft and integrated on day two. A fairly balanced Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast appellation. This Pinot Noir may be an age worthy wine and may have more years of life left. I still have one more bottle of this vintage remaining; I may open it in a month or two to verify my rating.

  • Tried 2 Coravin pours. The wine is slightly translucent medium to dark ruby. The nose is pretty straightforward with cherry, cranberry and lavender notes. It has medium acidity and low to medium tannin. The mouth feel is fairly well textured yet bright with flavors that see to mimic the nose. The finish is moderately long. This has plenty of life left but is pretty enjoyable now.

  • Prior bottle was almost seven months ago and my notes remain consistent. Blackfruit, floral and earthy notes on the nose. Medium bodied with black cherry and just a touch of black raspberry upfront. Gains some depth through the middle before plum and tart red cherry. The acidity has softened a little bit more over the past 7 months and the structure is now a little more tannin, rather than acidity based. Finishes with vanilla and light mineral notes. Overall it remains in a very good place, but I don't think additional time with yield further benefits. This is a wine to be enjoyed over the next year or so while the fruit and acidity still have punch. It will drink well beyond that time, but won't be as interesting. Very good QPR for the basic bottling.

  • Decanted at 6pm and tasted through 11pm. Translucent medium ruby color, youthful looking and quite viscous. Low to medium acidity. Somewhat fruit forward as the nose seems to be all cherry but in an old world sort of way, not over the top at all. Also some bramble and a little oak on the nose. Flavor is earthy cherry and anise, in balance but not terribly layered or complex with a moderately long finish. Still, has a few years left in it.
