In the decanter 4 hrs prior to drinking. Layers of red and black currants, bay leaf and tobacco. Very well balanced. Long drying and persistent tannins, years left in the tank. Outstanding cabernet

Lifted aromas, due to volatile acidity being part of the mix but not annoyingly so.
Very flavoursome, cassis. Some maturity but a long way from being an old wine.

Syrupy. Not over-ripe but pushing at the boundary. Oak is a touch “candy floss”. With a savoury olive finish to balance things.
I might think Clare Valley rather than Margaret River. Or South American malbec.
