Hanging on. Dark and thick colour. Lovely lifted nose but that's def not Bordeaux. Some slightly stewed fruit with soy / balsamic. No real tannin any more. Enjoyable without being wow. Pretty pricey these days.

Used the pincers and the cork was very crumbly, but extracted intact! Still black/purple in color. Some nice cedar, nutmeg and blackcurrant, smoked venison and some unabsorbed oak. The Tannin is almost gone. Very soft on the palate. Slightly past its best I think and based on other tastings here nearing the end of its life. Drink up
To be honest was expecting a touch more from a blue blood Aussie Cab, very true to variety but just lacking the magic of a Moss Wood or Cullen or John Riddoch. Possibly sleeping and may open up again but didn't show overly well in a lineup of good aussie cabs. That said still a beautiful wine just missing the x factor

Cork had done its job. Opened a bit stinky but cleared quite quickly. Tannins soft but still present. Leather, malt, olive. Very nice!! No rush to drink, still another 3-5 years on this showing, possibly longer.

Cork crumbled as badly as I’ve ever experienced. Sadly past it’s best.
