Liked this a lot better tonight than I did two years ago. Still a bit modern/polished/sweet/rich for my tastes, but it was a great match for the olive chicken.

Cambie-fied, and tastes like it. It's fine for the thing it is -- but this ain't my thing anymore. Aromas of raisin powder (the way raisins smell when they've been stored too long and are beginning to crumble), lots of fruit extraction (baked red cherries, caramelized brown sugar). Says 15% alcohol and tastes like it, if not a bit more. Not sure this is going to benefit much from extended aging.

On the young side with a slightly bitter finish that begs for aging. However when paired with the very rich dinner that evening the complexity of the wine came through with wonderful dark fruit.
