  • Just can't get into this. Overly ripe, acidic, tart, not a lot of structure, gym sock finish. I expected this to be able to hold a bit longer. Wine was decanted via Vinturi aerator into the glass after the cork was popped to a light cherry stain on the cork with zero cork bleed. I think this is partially oxidized, although the cork is intact. After letting sit for about 20 minutes, red cherry, spice, tannic finish starts to creep in. There just isn't much of it. Again, if you get this Texas wine, drink this quickly as there isn't much integration, and I'm not 100 percent certain how long it will stand. This wine was OK - would I serve it to anyone other than myself? Probably not. This wine would be so much better if it had another 6-9 months of barrel aging before being bottled.
