Finally got this out of the cellar. Super smooth. Good acid. Had it with rich and salty meatballs and pasta, and it held up nicely. Can't say I'd hold it any longer. Think it's more a food wine than a sipper at this point.

Great partner for a heavy steak meal. Nose is black fruit driven with a spicy backbone. Initially, there were some strong mineral flavors, but these faded almost to nothing after the bottle was open for a couple of hours. Now there is more blackberry, meat, and smoke on the palate. Long finish.

Quite elegant. Dark berry and modest tannins. Moderate acidity. Low oak-unusual for zerba and very nice. Slight casks and anise notes.
