I really enjoy Seven Stones wines. Smoke, flowers, crushed rocks and some red berry notes. Soft and supple with youthful energy and a juicy mid palate. Firm and chalky tannins build with air. This reminds me of a 3 year old wine and has tons of life left. Very good.

This bottle was opened at home and drank without decanting. The wine was clear and deep red in colour with a slight purple tinge to it. It had a great bouquet of red cherries and chocolate and these were also in the flavours when tasted. The tannins and acidity as well as the alcohol levels all seemed to be in a very pleasant balance. I really enjoyed this wine tonight.

This was opened at home and drank over two nights. I have enjoyed all of these bottles that I have had over time but this one was a bit weaker than expected. The wine was slightly cloudy and the nose had a tiny amount of mould to it. This went away after a short time. It was garnet red in colour with quite strong cherry and vanilla flavours to it. This wine wasn't corked in my opinion but just a bit "off" for unknown reasons.

I've enjoyed a number of these bottles in previous vintages and although this was a nice wine, it was way too early to drink this. It has quite a lot of potential but needs more time for the tannins to calm down. Very deep purple in colour with quite a bit of caramel to the nose. Lots of oak to taste along with a distinctive bacon flavour.

Good on day 1 and 2 of bottle being opened.
Dark fruit with even tannins. Full bodied. Even tannins.
