I really enjoy Seven Stones wines. Smoke, flowers, crushed rocks and some red berry notes. Soft and supple with youthful energy and a juicy mid palate. Firm and chalky tannins build with air. This reminds me of a 3 year old wine and has tons of life left. Very good.

This bottle was opened at home and drank without decanting. The wine was clear and deep red in colour with a slight purple tinge to it. It had a great bouquet of red cherries and chocolate and these were also in the flavours when tasted. The tannins and acidity as well as the alcohol levels all seemed to be in a very pleasant balance. I really enjoyed this wine tonight.

This was opened at home and drank over two nights. I have enjoyed all of these bottles that I have had over time but this one was a bit weaker than expected. The wine was slightly cloudy and the nose had a tiny amount of mould to it. This went away after a short time. It was garnet red in colour with quite strong cherry and vanilla flavours to it. This wine wasn't corked in my opinion but just a bit "off" for unknown reasons.

I've enjoyed a number of these bottles in previous vintages and although this was a nice wine, it was way too early to drink this. It has quite a lot of potential but needs more time for the tannins to calm down. Very deep purple in colour with quite a bit of caramel to the nose. Lots of oak to taste along with a distinctive bacon flavour.

Disappointing. I love Aaron Potts wines and this was my first bottle of Seven Stones. I had high expectations and instead of a classic giant this reminded me of Andersons Conn Valley Cab. A good wine but awful QPR. I would much rather have any of Aarons personal line (Pott) in my cellar.

Brilliant nose with berry tones. Delicious on the palate as well. Balanced and integrated tannins. Drinking well now, but will benefit from a few more years in the cellar as well. Great wine!

Complex wine made in the big Napa style. Somewhat unyielding right now with the tannins predominant and the fruit not quite keeping up. Needs more time in the cellar.

day 1 not giving up much with a very astringent, tannic finish after 8 hr slow ox. day 2 - so much better. cassis, full and saturated body. very correct napa cab on the elegant side. worth $175? to those going after correct and safe - yes. for me - i'm after something with a bit more interest with the likes of fairchild, greer, or kapcsandy.

Double decanted this for about 3 hours and took it to dinner. Had this with the 09 Myriad Dr Crane. Very different wines and both rocked. This seemed to have a bit more finesse which worked well with the meal. Will be one of the best wines I have all year. The other 2 are in for a long sleep.

Good on day 1 and 2 of bottle being opened.
Dark fruit with even tannins. Full bodied. Even tannins.
