Barolo Tasting (Restaurant Krietsch, Schwäbisch Gmünd): Wines tasted blind. Opened a few hours before the tasting. Glass: WMF red Wine Clear, deep ruby-garnet. Fine, herbaceous nose with some tobacco and some hints of lovage. On the palate very dense, lots of extract. Almost creamy most feel. Some sweetness. High, wonderful tannin. Fine red fruit, some dried petals. Good balance and very long. Probably a bit past peak, but still a wonderful wine. 93
