Still nicely fresh, very ripe, very powerful. Easy to enjoy. I liked this a lot more in its youth. It has certainly changed, but I have probably changed even more.

Nicely developed & mature. Easy drinking but not showing much complexity. Held its own for 2 hours or so in the glass after a short decant. Hits the mark for wanting something w/ age but not needing to blow through something special.

Rich black fruit, nicely savory with faintly sweet hints. Nicely fresh enough, this is holding up well.

Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind Australian Wine (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Served double blind to the group alongside Amon-Ra 2004. Ripe black fruit with good weight that shows its age, but still retains enough fruit and freshness to be very tasty. Much less complex than the Amon-Ra. I liked this wine more when younger. Time to drink up.
