  • Pre Easter wine. Opened and poured, impeccably stored since release Heavy sediment and settling. Amazing aromas - florals, freshness, cut flowers, vanilla, cherry, raspberry, gingerbread, spice. Well balanced, medium body, lively acidity, neutral fruit profile. Just a superb example as 21 years out....amazing really. Some tannin clamps down on the finish, indicating continued long life ahead.

  • Mature Wine. Showing great balance of fruit, earth, acid and a integrated tannin. Deep garnet, not showing signs of age. Notes of stable and leather that open to red fruit, spice and a slight amount of heat. Sappy palate with some chewy tannin on the back end. Nice showing for this wine.

  • Beautiful deep bouquet with sweet spices, earth and ripe fruits. On the palate the same impressions. Complex. Good acidity. This is a great wine, fully mature now and enough power for a few more years.

  • Zeer donkerrood. In de neus rijp jammig fruit, truffel, bosgrond, kruidig. Volle smaak met geconcentreerd zwart fruit. Stevig, goed geintegreerde tannines, fraaie, niet te dominante zuren, lang aanhoudend.

  • deeply colored barolo with ripe fruit on the nose, generous use of oak still evident, leather and tar overtones and interesting spicyness. palate has weight, ripeness and flavor. tannins are fully ripe and chewey acidity is not exceptionally high, but still the wine is balanced if a little sweeter than expected. modern style barolo with intensity, complexity and balance. ready to drink and can age further.
