Dense dark berry nose with hints of graphite and garden herbs. On the lighter side of full-bodied. Pallette is a bit thin and singular -- not a lot going on and alcohol-y. Medium finish.

Decanted > 3 hours. This wine has definitely matured and evolved. Very smooth and tasty. More Cab than previous notes indicated. Earth & leather on the nose. Some tannins but not overpowering.

Very dark blackberry hue. Nose is of dark fruits, hints of vanilla. Dark fruit, soft, easy drinking, nice long finish, spice, nicely balanced. Limited bottling with a mix of cab says, merlot, malbec, petit verdot. Nice change of pace.

Decanted > 1 hour. Followed up an 07 PB Seven Hills. It had been 4 years since we last tasted this vintage. In reviewing my notes from 2012, this wine has definitely matured and evolved. Very smooth and tasty. The Merlot still keeps this wine from popping but this drank extremely well.

Drank in an '08, '09, and '10 vertical and easily held its own. Really great aromas of black currant, blackberry, and tobacco. Similarly strongly flavored, with robust tannins leading into a long finish. Definitely could hold up for several more years although it's drinking well now.

(Pepper Bridge Red Wine Pepper Bridge Vineyard Walla Walla Valley) A compelling contrast to the other wines sampled here, this wine is lightly aromatic with coffee bean, herbal notes, and dark cherries. On the palate it brings firm tannins along with rich fruit flavors of chocolate, cherry, and ripe cranberries. Lingers on the finish. A very sexy – some might say masculine - wine. Give one to two years. 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, and 5% Petit Verdot. Aged 20 months in French oak (48% new). 14.1% alcohol. 476 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
