Decanted about 2 hours. Cherries, a bit of cola and smokiness on the nose. Flavors of dark red fruit, coffee with just a bit of vanilla. The wine has promise but didn't blow us away and not as good as the Seven Hills blend..

Drank in a '08, '09, and '10 vertical. This wine didn't show as well as the other two. Still, it had pleasant aromas of blackberry and leather with hints of cigar box and similar flavors. The body was just a bit thinner than I would have preferred. Strong tannins and a long finish. I'd hold or decant thoroughly.

Pleasant secondary flavors with stewed cassis and blackberry flavors. Still decent tannins. Medium to long finish.
