Spectacular bottle showing no weakness. Notes of rasberries and strawberries coupled with spices, truffles and forest floor. Very long aftertaste with the wine singing after 1 hour of opening the bottle. Time has done its job.

Leiden Valentine Tasting: Mature wine. Red fruit nose, soft, earthy tones. Palate also red fruit, good acidity, minerals, a bit coarse at the end. Palate is a bit light and the finish a bit short, but all in all this is drinking wonderfull with a very own personality. From very old vines.

Oregon vs. Burgundy (Reno, NV): Very light color, clear, red rim. A lot of earth and funk inititally out of the glass... with 15 min in decanter wines fruit becomes more evident... very pretty and light floral cherries... no new oak barrique notes I could find. On the palate very bright and fresh with high acidity, nice broad pino midpalate, beautiful transition into a very integrate low to moderate tannic finish... low ETOH. Wine's strengths are it balance and expression of place which are impeccable... great texture too. Wine could use a little more depth/complexity of flavor, persistence on the finish. Overall a very light, fresh, and pleasant, albeit not terribly complex drink of Burgundy... at its peak.

Delicious pinot. Good fruit, concentrated, some jam tones and some minerality and round tannins , integrated wood, sweet flavours and ready to drink.
