dark olive, gamey and leathery. oscilated between rough and smooth on the finish. Slightly tart as if the fruit had started to fade a little too much. excellent, but not outstanding

Does not match top end Cornas by any means but very nice for what it is. Still plenty of fruit and tannins. Could get better yet but fine to drink now.

nose: dark and classic cornas nose of black olives, black cherries, animale tones, tapenade, along with tones of road tar. Well balanced with good depth and very expressive
taste: full bodied with good firm tannins and rustic tones of black olives, black cherries, dark spices, tapenade and a touch of animale tones. The tannins aren't too coarse right now and it is showing its youth
overall: this could've probably used another couple of years, but c'est la vie. Well balanced and showing off classic tones that you would expect from a cornas

NY/NJ Offline at Beacon 7.23.12 (Beacon, NYC): Quick taste. Savory and gamey nose with notes of olive and garrigue. Big structure with high tannin and acid. Medium finish.
