Beautiful color of beef blood. Lovely Gevrey aromas of briar, sassafras, with maybe a whiff of barnyard. Definitely some tannin in the finish and acid in the midpalate (it is an ‘08). Lovely spice and density of material, especially for a village level wine. After time in the glass rounds out--delicious! And I am glad that I have another one to open 5-10 years from now.

Mid red brown colour showing maturity. Forward nose of strawberry, cherry, earth notes and touch of barnyard. Fine tannins almost completely resolved. Moderate finish. Drinking well now and not likely getting any better. Very refined for village wine.

Tasted blind. Nobody around the table though this was a Burg. Even after it was revealed, it still tasted like a Barolo... floral nose, very tight and concentrated black fruit with high acidity on the palate. It did improve a little with air so I'd recommend opening several hours ahead of drinking, but on the other hand I'm not sure there's more aging potential. An idiosyncratic wine.

Amazing purity, this wine hits you with intense sour cherry aromas and some chalk dust. It's very refreshing with a good fruit and acidity balance. It should have a long live.

What Eric Guido said. It started out velvety smooth but the tannins became more and more present. My first and only bottle from this producer but hopefully not my last in spite of horrific price tags.
