The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and prune, with some cinnamon. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), cherry and cinnamon to start, with stoniness and coffee in the long finish. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity. Very tasty.

Full throttle pinot noir, but well made. Strong, big, solid fruit, good feel, balancing acid. More dark than red fruit. Not usually my style, but I like it.

Santa Cruz Mountains day: Ver nice with good lush sweetness but great balancing acid. A little cinnamon, bright but with good body. Very good.

I had this after a 2008 Williams selyem, it really showed that this wine is definitely a class below where I had rated it before.
