Decanted for about 2 hours - no sediment. This wine is really open and lovely right now. Fragrant nose of berries and earth. On the palate, this was soft and velvety in mouthfeel, tannins are resolved, there were dark berries, tobacco and earth. No real green notes that I would typically associate with CF, but this was quite nice and balanced and in a great drinking window.

Black and red cherry, red plum, coffee grounds, cedar, and some bark. A surprising amount of balled-up energy and tension here, indicating even more time in bottle will allow for the flavors to expand and deepen if laid to rest in the cellar for a few more years. For a decade-old wine, this was acting more like a 2013 what with all the frame and verve encompassing the tight and linear core fruit flavors. It provides moments of satisfaction currently, but has upside still on the horizon.
Hold until 2022+.

Herbs and coffee flavors. Nuanced and subtle tannins. Very enjoyable, this is a very hard to find wine that delivers. Delicious Cab Franc from one of my favorite wineries. Many more enjoyable years ahead for this beauty.

PRELIMINARY. Pop and pour. Light aromas and earth taste. Let us give time to breath.

Fantastic bottle. 10 years of age was perfect on this. Very nuanced and well balanced. None of the bell pepper you get from a young CF.
