  • Erath Pinot is consistent; seems too light but has great flavor. Spice to start and a fast finish that was not as bright.

  • Bright disc. Light ruby/red roby with pale pink rim. Clean, albeit almost nonexistent nose, showing aromas of strawberries and raspberries. Medium acidity on the palate, with essentially no tannins and absolutely no middle palate. The finish is extremely short. Drinking this wine is akin to drinking de-fizzed, diluted strawberry soda pop. In no way do I feel that this wine is even worth $20...it is an overcropped mess. That said, if you have it in your cellar, I would recommend a drinking window of now-12/11.

  • the best thing about this Pinot is that it is very predictable, so in that respect you can't go wrong.

  • Had friends over for dinner and they showed-up with this bottle, which we paired with a wild mushroom crostini (nice pairing job!!). This is a very light-bodied red, with typical Oregonian Pinot traits (a light bouquet of earth, flowers, and fruit), with an also typical Pinot tasting profile (pepper, red berries and cherries, oak, and earth), with a smooth, silky short finish. This wine lacks the depth and complexity of a real quality Pinot, but for a simple, affordable Pinot, Erath did a nice job with this bottle. I would definitely pair this wine with light, simple fair that doesn't have heavy spices or flavors, such as simple grilled salmon. For a nice, somewhat-cheap Pinot, this is a nice bottle. I believe CostCo sells this for under $20, which is a nice bargain.

  • Light color, lighter style pinot. Thin. Very little fruit. A herb style element up front, faint kool aid finish.
