Pop and pour. Nose was great with a slight oakiness, spice and plum easily detectable. Dark coloring, but not opaque. The typical Washington Syrah flavors came through nicely including blackberry, black cherry, tobacco, earth and a small amount of spice. Mellow tannins and a nice mouth feel. Great value and a nice example of a Washington Syrah.

(Stonecap Syrah Estate Grown Columbia Valley) A moderately aromatic wine with smoke, berries, and light game. Palate is fruit forward, losing a bit of its concentration and rhythm about two thirds of the way through. Overall an enjoyable effort that is unmistakably syrah. 13.5% alcohol.

Smooth, mild plum sweetness with undertones of spice. One of the better inexpensive wines for all wine preferences.
