  • An elegant and complex Borolo. Full bodied with dark fruit, oak and leather with a bit of spicy finish. Balanced with good structure. Very approachable.

  • Very nice. A quick decant. Balance leans towards the fruit, but the flavors are fantastic. Drink now or hold.

  • Medium dark reddish garnet in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, boysenberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of roses & orange rind, earthy/dusty notes, tar, herbs, minerals & a hint of cedar in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & plums, earthy, minerals, spices, herbs & a hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well presently with decanting & extended airing & even at 12 years of age, it still has potential for further development with additional aging at which time, I anticipate it may score even higher. A wonderful Barolo.

  • Appearance: pale, garnet
Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of dried flower, red currant, red cherry, red rose petals, dusty, tar, leather, mushroom. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity, mushroom really come across in the palate. The finish is medium plus.
Overall, it’s a very good wine. Can drink now but has potential for further ageing.
This is a modern style Barolo and great to approach now. There are pretty red fruits and beautifully perfumed floral notes although it’s at 12 yrs age. The tannins provide good structure but with finesse. Lovely Barolo!
