Dark plum colour. Nose shows raisins, herbs, violets. Palate has plenty of fresh fruit, dark berry fruit, chocolate. Dry. Long finish. Probably at full maturity now.

This apparently is the unfortified wine produced by the Quinta do Vesuvio, which is better known as one of the best single Quinta ports. This is a very rich, full bodied concentrated wine with plenty of cassis and black plum.

Dark fruit and cassis with slight pomegranate on the back palate. But great acidity which cuts thru immediately and give a fresh astringency to finish. Full flavor without the oak. Will improve with an hour of decanting.

Color. Dark red to purple. Pretty dark.
Nose. Black fruits, floral, typical port ascents with no sugar.
Palate. Round tannins, plum, berries, vanilla.
Paired food. Wine is bit strong so paired both pasta with little touch of blue cheese and pancetta and duck risotto. Paired the pasta better.
