Medium garnet red color with medium transparency and no sediment. Red fruited aromas - raspberry, cherry, a bit of spice and smoke complement the fruit. Great balance on the palate with full integration of acid and tannin. Flavors include cranberry, raspberry, currant, a hint of mint, and some coffee notes at the very end. Very pinot...balanced, silky, medium short finish. Keep going back to the glass...very refreshing. The coffee notes suggest some oxidation may be starting to creep in. With the balance present, this probably glides gracefully into middle and old age, but I think now is its time for my tastes. Drink.

Opened for an hour or so; shared with five or six over appetizers and finished the rest during the first part of dinner (Chicken Marbella). Excellent, inviting Pinot, with sufficient complexity to moderate one's speed of consumption.

Great Burgundian aromatics of sour cherry, red fruits, flowers and subtle funk. Full-flavored (but restrained) on the palate. Medium finish. Great QPR.

My Grade: G+. Thin, tart cherry, not much fruit left and spiked acidity. Quite a dissapointment given the region, vintage and producer.
