Nicely done. Black cherries and currant on the attack, with secondary flavors of coffee and licorice. Medium to full bodied and went well with a grilled ny steak. Would recommend.

The cabernet shows on the nose, slightly astringent with it's acidity with some chocolate and mint notes, unfortunately the nose does not equal the sum of it's parts. Black berries on the palate. Hey, not bad compared to the nose, very soft, good acidity with gentle tannins. Basic overall, slightly pleasing palate but pretty odd nose.

The nose is deep and tart with blackberries, stems, and rhubarb making an appearance. Bright fruit hits the mouth immediately, and wild blackberry flavors show on the mid with some stemmy notes. The oak is dark on the finish and there are some chocolate notes. Nice QPR for a red blend.

Tasting at Arcane Cellars: Label from Arcane Cellars. Their tasting notes: "Huge blackberry and cassis fruit from the Syrah in the blend balance nicely with the structure and body of Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 18 months in a combination of 50% new French and American oak. A classic big Columbia Valley red blend. 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Syrah, 2% Mourvedre, 2% Cinsault. 1280 cases produced. Release Date: November 2007. 89 POINTS + TOP VALUES OF 2008 -- WINE SPECTATOR" My notes: Deep murky plum color. Corky/musty nose? But drinkable.

Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tour (Eola-Amity Hills): Nice clean nose with blackberries and licorice. The wine has some nice acid, and peppery and blackberry notes but is a bit watery and has a hint of a strange synthetic flavor.
