Started quite well at opening which surprised me. Decent acidity and some remnant berry fruit and jam. However this quickly subsided to simply sour. Shame.

Aromas of green pepper. Initially strong tannins with a flat finish. I was disappointed with this wine. I had it right after the 2002 Cooke, and I would say it was a bit better than the '02, but still not very big and/or bold. So much for Ravenswood's "No Wimpy Wines" slogan. This one fell too flat for me and could have been a lot bigger and bolder. Maybe I had it too late?
