Really quite excellent, but not very varietally typical. Seemed more like a Napa Cab Sauv, but that's the 2007 vintage for you. A big, bold red with lots of fruit (even at 10 yrs old) and velvety tannins. Paired very well with steak.
Really outshone the 2007 Barboursville Cab Franc Reserve, opened & served side by side, but they seemed to be very different styles & this one was built to age.
Drink now, but could still probably last a few more years.

Perfectly aged cab franc. Rich with complex secondary notes, and in its prime. Never would have guessed it was a Virginia wine. Drink now.
