This is nuits st georges. Wonderful. Limpid color, maturing (375). Nose of black and red fruits, fur, earth, bramble, mineral. Rustic and suave in the same breath. Just poking into it's window in half, this will no doubt improve and improve. Le Villaret, Paris.
Still relatively generous and open-knit with aromas of warm berry, freshly grated ginger, cherry, sweet earth and meat. It is full in the mouth with sweet jube like fruit and decent underlying, minerally structure. The finish is chewy but tannins remain sweet all the way through the wine.
Union Square Wines Burgundy Tasting: Small pour at a store tasting. A huge step up from the 2011s. Richer deeper, longer, the greater class is evident. Very pretty dark red berry fruit, good midpalate, elegant. Not especially complex or Nuitsy, but very good.
