Dan Standish told me to drink one young to taste the beautiful fruit. Thanks Dan , the fruit is spectacular and already complex. There are also significant fine tannins that bode well for aging. I will not open another for at least 3 years - 97

Quintessential Barossa Shiraz at its peak. Dark but no longer brooding, the big surprise here was the prominent fine effervescence. Almost impenetrable black. Still quite a restrained nose. Sweet and sapid. No clever descriptors today - it's was it's own thing. I wouldn't suggest holding for much longer - I think this is the peak! Drink up soon or be remorseful....

Three rising stars of Barossa tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): This is much darker and more serious than some of the other wines in the Standish range and that's saying something. There is a pretty vanillin oak with blue and black fruits on the nose and the palette is full of spicy tannins with oak purity and a very delicate, well-integrated texture.
