As anticipated, this wine is clearly over the hill, so out of fairness, I will not rate this wine. If this were a young wine it would be flawed, but the 2000 is very tired at 18 years. That said some CA Chardonnays - typically those that do not go through ML, can last for up to two decades.
Cork was not cooperative. Color of old amber sherry and flavors of sherry, pineapple, peach, wood, and raisin. Tried drinking it for about a hour; it was interesting, but why go through this exercise. Sort of like a Jura meets Loire demi-sec. Only keep a bottle if you plan on doing a vertical tasting.

Deep gold color, fully mature but not oxidized like a premoxed White Burg would be -- this doesn't have the sherry character or fraying midpalate. The candied orange/lime fruit has mostly melded into the background, with a fair bit of integrated oak still noticeable and dusting of mature hazelnut character. Broad-shouldered with some vanilla sweetness from the oak but with plenty of acidity and just a whiff of minerals. More power aromatically than in the mouth. Held up well over 3-4 hours. This is not a showstopper but quite a nice drink if you like what Chardonnay matures into.

I still haven't decided if I like older oxidized whites like this. Nice sherry, butterscotch, pineapple, nutty notes. On the other hand, you can get the sherry flavors for much less money if you just buy sherry.... An interesting drink, but it seems a shame to sacrifice the fruit by aging this long.

Same a previous notes. Should have consumed 5 years ago. Not rated, since I should have known better.

Well past prime. Brownish golden color, very reserved subtle fruits tending to pineapple, with pronounced smokey, toast oak.
