Wow. An incredible wine. Dark crimson almost shimmers in the glass. A remarkable bouquet of tart (cranberry), sweet (strawberry and raspberry), savory (roasted meat, cedar), and spice (white pepper). Palate offers pure raspberry and black cherry -- gorgeous. The wine slides across the palate, lingering with a bite of graphite and mineral, counterbalanced with a nice hit of acidity. This will age a long time. Loved it.

Lightish in color, texture and flavor. Color like a CDP or Grenache. Smoke and juicy berry with an acidic background. Not giving much at all in the nose. Better than an overblown, prune-monster, but could be more balanced.

Good, balance Zinfandel. Not overly extracted or too fruity or to woody. Just a nice zin. Medium long finish with a hint of acid/tannin finish to keep it balanced. I prefer a bit leaner style.

PnP at a restaurant. No detailed notes. Thin by Turley standards. Not much there.

Thin nose, not much there. Tart, tight tannins. Medium body, medium finish. I've had better Turleys.
