  • Offers some of the most beautiful aromatics; herbaceous and savory with wild thyme, grilled pork sausage, cumin and cinnamon. The palate is far less herbaceous with flavors of strong black tea, bitter fruit: plums, olives, smoked meat, chocolate and wood spice. After two hours of slow Ox: cherry, cloves, molasses and a bit of heat on the hind palate. Stands up to bold cuisine.

  • This 50/50 Temp/Syrah blend has great balance, ample spice, lovely dark fruit and nuances of cocoa, grass, mineral and splashes of toffee. It has a lot of promise showing well now, would revisit in a few to six months. The winery is actually called Long Story Short Cellars, owned by two of nicest young winemakers (Chris Jiron & Christine Collier) to hit the S. OR wine scene. Check out their website, they are worth a visit and have a lot of enthusiasm and energy! Looking foward to the next creations.

  • You should let this young wine breath a moment before going at it. A light ruby color, lower alcohol red half Syrah and half Tempranillo is elegant and refined. The nose has a touch of barnyard, subtle black fruit, spicy green pepper, a touch of leather and black pepper. The mouth feel is full with a sweet fruit and a subtle tannin. This mayl improve even more over the next year or two but is satisfying and hits the palate just right now. We had this today at 38 Central, our WINE central on Tuesdays for sup and sip.
