Opened tonight as a pizza wine and it filled the bill admirably. It showed its carbonic maceration character to the exclusion of much in the way of varietal character. Light, bright red fruit and a tangy acidic backbone made for a very pleasant wine, but had I been tasting it blind I would probably have gone for a Bourgogne PTG. Not in the class of Lafarge L'Exception, but very nice nonetheless.

A strong fruit (raspberry) nose, similar to Pinot I felt. Palate is more greenish with soft tannins, that indicates the Cab Franc. Slightly fizzy, with acidity that cuts through. The low alcohol is very nice, but somehow feels a bit sweet. Nice to taste a Californian like that.

Wow. Si tous les vins californiens pouvaient être dans ce style, ma cave en serait composée en totalité. Frais, un peu de bois (mais pas trop), bien du fruit, le tout pour 20$ ?!? J'adore et je vais certainement essayer d'en trouver d'autres...

Not cab francish, but quite pleasing.

Lean bright tart raspberry. Very vibrant. Wakes you right up.
