Petit Verdot is normally a blending wine, but Pete decided to release it as a single-varietal bottle. Pete is a magician, and his grapes must have been awesome, but the bottom line is that PV is just not my favorite red. Nose of candied strawberries, but a slightly gamey, foxey palate and a short finish. Probably as good a pure PV as can be made, but I would pass.

Really loved this wine. Long finish. Great nose. Came in second in a Petit Verdot tasting

Needs at least an hour to open, but it is wonderful after it does.
