  Enjoyable with desserts. Seems mature.. lots of sediment. Medium bodied, grassy, honey, sweet. A bit short finish. Nevertheless quite nice.

  Apricot, honey and dried fruits. Not very sweet on nose. On palate it's medium sweet, unctuous, syrupy and candy. Seems more suitable for desserts.

  This shows a nice, honey-laden and precise expression of Sauternes from this vintage that is solid. Well-botrytized as well. Exotic coconut, honey, and peach pervade the nose and palate, and though the midpalate is a bit thinner than one would like, the finish is long and solid (albeit not as precise or pure as one might like it). Not as much acidity as I would hope for. Will continue to improve in bottle for at least 5 years, and perhaps many, many more. The '96 Guiraud shows a more ample midpalate but on the whole - at least for now - I believe this wine outclasses it.
