muted berry and herbal notes; still has spunk, balance and some complexity; went well with ricotta and mushroom ravioli; no reason to hold this for any longer

We had this wine in honor of Sue’s 32nd B’day with a mushroom stuffed tenderloin. Heady aromas typify Cabernet Franc by displaying dried flower and herb perfumes mixed with top notes of berry fruit, vanilla and a touch of smoke. Concentrated flavors, perhaps the most dense of any of the Premier Etage vintages, offer cherry syrup richness with dark Swiss chocolate.

Black fruit, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee aromas with a bit of barnyard. Meaty, chewy fruit with big tannins, everything seeming close to coming into harmony. Nice finish shows some sweet spice. Drink now through 2010.

Terrific. Nose is amazing, and very drinkable at this point.

This was the hit of the evening with a warm spice and tart dry cherry but with a nice depth , really enjoyed
