Vanilla, cedar, cassis. Somewhat disappointing if you compare it to Roda's Reservas. Promising nose, but it didn't keep the promises. Rather thin palate. It's made from younger vines and meant for everyday drinking, but still expected more. There are better value Crianzas with similar aspirations at lower price points. Too young. Needs another 2 years.

Weekly tasting group #057; The influence of oak. (@ WW): Fairly dark purple red. The bouquet has some sweet spices, licorice and red as well as dark fruits. On the palate a bit lactic; cherry yoghurt, but also good red as well as dark berry fruits, firm acidity and soft tannin. Medium long finish. In this stage the wine is still too young. I am not really impressed, but in a year or two this might show some more balance and complexity. 86+

A little more lift on the nose than the reserve (wood absent) but a relatively understated palate. Fruit bound up in spicy wood but good supporting tannin. Hard to describe but again very young.

Black with deep ruby rim. Modern-styled on the nose with aromas of wild blackberry syrup and toasty oak. Medium to full on the palate with good presence and focus.

Perfectly quaffable, good fruit and spice but tannic and fuzzy
