Bought recently and a mistake confirmed on the second bottle (of 6). It simply lacks fruit or warmth and has lost all complexity or typical gigondas ‘dirt’. Avoid.

Couleur rubis. Nez discret de fruits exotiques et de fleurs sauvages... Tannins encore présents. Structuré et encore solide pour un 2010. Absence de bois...du fruit net et juteux. Un vin riche avec longue finale poivrée. Quelle beauté ! Encore jeune...boire d'ici 1-2 ans. 93+

15% alcohol. Short cork of reasonable density, with penetration over 2 mm or so. Young vivid (but dark) colour, with a purple tinge at the pouring stage. Lovely broad nose of fresh wild berries. The mouth is just as good with a superb balance and excellent acidity; this is a wine that wears its hefty alcoholic charge lightly. The Mourvèdre helps the Grenache here, I think. No oak at all, and marvellously vivid. There is a common theme to all the wines from this producer, which I would describe as natural with a slightly wild edge; I just love it. Given the pricing scale, the wines at the bottom offer the best value, but this one (at the top) is superb. A repeat purchase for this producer, but not necessarily for this particular cuvée because of price considerations.
