Medium depth of yellow pushing gold. Nose is really cool, some funky cheese thing and light oxidation which blows off but still fun while it lasted. I like the lime contrasted with the red apple. Really "fluffy" mouthfeel and lots of intensity. Excellent.

Weeknight Wines Blind: Served blind next to 4 other champagnes (also blind). Disgorged February 2011, so this spent some good time in bottle. No dosage. Yellow apple, tangy, some herb and a good presence of grapefruit. I enjoyed the energy and the concentration here, too. I do though have to say that on this night, this wine was beat out by the 2009 Roederer Starck for me.

Lacked complexity, particularly on the nose. There was a strong baked apple note in the palate that wasn't appealing. It finished short. It is an ok champagne but there are significantly better options available at the price point.

One of the best Champagnes that I have had. Great minerality. Reaching optimal maturity!
