PNP. This was in remarkable shape for its age. Vibrant, translucent red color, no browning. Delicate nose of lavender. Elegant on the palate, strawberry, hint of anise. Fine tannins, great acidity and balance. Spicy on the mid-palate. Finishes a bit short but bright, lovely and red fruited. A bit past prime but still lovely. Alas, it started to fade after less than an hour and went downhill fast. If you have one, I'd drink over the next 2 years or so and don't linger over it (unless it's for the sake of science!). Hard to rate this one, but I'll rate it at peak in the glass.

Very pretty nose of red berries, cherries, violets, and a hint of leather. Nice acidity on the palate with tart berries and cherries. Long finish. This was excellent, very complex and Burgundian in feel, although with just a hint of riper fruit that may suggest CA.

Expected this to be over the hill, but not only is it not fading, but this was an amazing bottle. Nose of floral fruits jumps out of glass. Balanced, smooth, red fruit with a beautiful aged complexity. So smooth and in a great place.
Dinner at Chez Ehrenreich, Miami, FL: Chez Ehrenreich. Poured vs 86 Lafleur Pomerol, and 95 Muga Reserva. I loved all these wines. Brilliant pinosity, bouquet, tactile sense, and finish.
