  • After enjoying a few of Peillot's Altesse in the past, I saw this in a local grocery store for under $20 and thought it might be a lot of fun. Aromas of red and dark berry fruit, intermixed with peppery spice and herbal notes, it almost came across as a blend of Beaujolais and a lighter styled Northern Rhone Syrah like Saint Joseph. Bright fruit with juicy acidity and light-medium bodied with an herbal and earthy finish. Really just a wonderful little red wine and exactly the type of red wine I like to have with food. I have to say that I am quite impressed with this producer and look forward to tasting more.

  • First thought: this tastes like a cry Beaujolais but with significantly more tannin. Nice and interesting. Seems like it will blossom with air. Update: did soften and round-out with some air. Excellent.
