Decanted for a tiny bit of sediment. Pretty nose that leaps from the glass, deep red cherries. The fruit carries over on the palate, a little deeper and slightly baked from age, but there’s still nice supporting acidity. Some baking spices but no tertiary complexity yet, will be looking for that in 5+ years.

Ripe black cherry fruit, baking spice, floral notes and some fruit skin tannin. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. This is ripe and dense, per the vintage, and showing some oak, per the producer. But there's nice acidity and I think this could be quite good in 4+ years.

Pernand-Vergelesses Rouges (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Very similar to the 2010 vintage: Gorgeous refreshing fruity nose with sweet & spicy Christmas candies. Very good palate. Already quite smooth, but definitely needs more time.

nose -plum, cranberry, earth mouth - relatively restrained on the attack, nice velvety plum fruit quite apparent on the midpalate, a nice rather savory more than sweet long finish with round tannins. A treat.
