I decanted two 2007 Barolos for Fathers Day to pair with homemade sauce, meatballs, sausage, eggplant and pasta. This one was in a different league than the Azelia. It had that depth and finish that an outstanding wine should have. We all enjoyed it immensely.

Nice Barolo with a very pleasant bouquet of red fruit and a similar effect on the palate with a lot of length and classic cherry/strawberry flavors. Almost medicinal end (luden's cough drops?).

Such an explosive nose...violets, roses, leather, sour cherry, and tar The palate is very pure with none of the intrusive oak that one sees frequently in La Morra. Sweet strawberry, cherry, tar, violets, anise, baking spice, minerals and tar. Finish is medium+ with some alcohol sticking out and is really the only thing holding this back from a higher score. Very pretty.

Good value here. Classic nose of roses and tar. Enjoyed over two days and the last sip was definitely the best. Suprisingly approachable at this stage but will definitely get better with more cellar time. Will likely be buying more.
