A medium tawny colour The nose is quite light with hints of cherry. On the palate I didn't pick up much complexity just some cherry fruit. Medium tannins, Medium+ acidity. This could be closed, maybe still a little young.

From magnum. Delicious, traditional Burgundy from a somewhat maligned domaine who deserve a slightly better reputation to my mind. Perhaps they suffer from some of the overblown characteristics of some of their stablemates under the Boisset umbrella (particularly the depressingly OTT whites.)

Deep ruby color. Medium body. Smooth and fresh. Well-structured, balanced, profound, inspiring. Lots of spice, earth, and dark fruit combine to create a wine that is still quite young and worthy of more time in the cellar. This was mind-blowingly enjoyable, but I must say, there is no need to open these now! You can give them some time.

Medium ruby robe. Wafting aromas of demerara sugar, cooked field strawberries, muted notes of damp earth. Later, stewed prunes, plums, and candied chestnuts (marrons glacés). Fine balance, firm tannins, heft in the body, and a long, almost sensual finish. Less forest floor than expected and, thus, perhaps less varietally precise than some if its peers. Still, a Burgundy brimming with elegance, demanding now a longer cellaring time; best to let matters flesh out in the bottle until 2012-2018. Superb.
