  • Disappointing! Golden colour. A muted, neutral nose of some stone fruit, granite, perhaps a little pineapple and spice. Not bad on palate, just a little bland, dull and anonymous. Well made and no faults I could see. A suggestion of restrained flavours of pears and other orchard fruit and river stones, fairly rich. Some apparent sweetness but only 7 grams per litre residual sugar. No burn from the 14.5% alcohol. Perhaps a suboptimal bottle due to shop storage (recently purchased)? Uninspiring. On the evidence of this bottle, drink soon.
