A great bottle. The fruit is rich and ripe, dark in character, and it doesn't stick out at all - the wine also shows brioche and doughy nuances and a strong saline undercurrent. These things show in a round and balanced way, like I find in great bottles of white Burgundy. This is quite an ample and fleshy wine, but it is so well composed and, I am guessing, perfectly dosed, so that it feels energetic and perfectly balanced. Delicious, fascinating wine that demonstrates the rewards of mid-term cellaring with vintage bottles. Really good.

Nice champagne. Dark golden in color with an oxidative note of apple cider. More air brought this to life with apple remaining prominent along with shades of red fruit, slight hint of yeast and mineral. Overall, a solid sparkling that had aged well, but just didn't find anything really special or interesting here.

Disgorged 10/19/2011, 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. Veery oxidative, with a strong ginger character and a weird, chemcially/varnishy flavor overlying pinoty fruit. I decidedly disliked this, although others liked it better.

Consistant with previous bottle. More citrus and yeast on the nose and a nice weight on the palate. As it warmed it still held its balance. Will seek out more.

Nice showing. Rich Pinot fruit. It had moments where it found that next gear, but overall solid, not exceptional.
