  • AP #6. Showed darker than I expected/hoped when poured. The nose is very ripe and quite mature - baked apples and pears, some sweet spices, and a hint of honey and caramel. The palate is similar - baked fruit flavors, maybe a bit of apricot, honey, caramel, and herbs. Maybe some acid, structure starting to emerge towards the end - we will see how it develops as I have some left. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5-5/6, Finish - 4.5-5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15-16/20.

  • Nice golden color, and big apricot and cream nose. Wonderfully ready to drink, but I don't think the acids are strong enough to support extended aging.
